The Gooden School is committed to doing all that we can to keep our school and surrounding community as safe and healthy as possible.
We will welcome our kindergarten through fourth-grade students whose families have chosen in-person instruction back to campus on Monday, February 22, 2021 as well as fifth and sixth grades on March 1.
We continue to follow all recommendations of the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, and our accrediting bodies, the California Association of Independent Schools (CAIS), and the Los Angeles Episcopal Diocese Commission on Schools, to inform our reopening plans

COVID-19 Viral and Antibody Testing Clinics
Beginning Tuesday, February 9, The Gooden School will offer biweekly COVID-19 viral and antibody testing. Thank you to the Church of the Ascension and Father Bamberger for allowing us to host PMH Laboratory, Inc. at the Parish House, located at 45 East Laurel Avenue for this outdoor testing site. Testing is by reservation only from 10:00 a.m to 4:00 p.m.
We are pleased to be able to offer testing to everyone in the community, including students, family members, employees, and neighbors. Sign ups will close two days before the test day.
Be sure to bring a photocopy of your medical insurance card and a valid photo ID. If you do not have health insurance, please bring a valid photo I.D. The cost of your test will be covered by a grant through the CARES Act.
